Group Finance Manager

As Group Finance Manager, you will oversee the financial and accounting activities of the Labeau Group.

You will play an essential role in the financial transition following the recent merger and help to review the financial structure of the organization and prepare it for the future.

Who is Labeau?

Labeau specializes in the breeding and cultivation of young ornamental plants, with Phalaenopsis being the most important product. With approximately 950 employees and branches in Germany, Belgium, Slovakia, Turkey, and the Netherlands, Labeau is the second-largest breeding company in the world for Phalaenopsis.

Your Tasks:

Accounting

• You will manage and coach the accounting teams across the entire group.
• You will ensure that consistent accounting practices are applied in all countries.
• You will advise on complex accounting issues and oversee correct processing.
• You will take the lead in improving financial systems and streamlining processes.
• You will manage the implementation of ERP systems in multiple regions.

Reporting

• You ensure that financial reports are prepared in a timely and accurate manner and in line with applicable regulations.
• You manage the group’s monthly and annual consolidation process in accordance with Dutch GAAP, including the preparation and auditing of the financial statements.
• You provide strategic financial insights to the management team to support data-driven decision-making.

Financial Control

• You will oversee tax compliance, treasury, and working capital management within the group.
• You will lead the forecasting process in close collaboration with business control and commercial departments.
• You will contribute to risk management and help shape the internal control framework.
• You will handle complex financial topics, such as inventory valuation and the preparation of business cases.

Who are you?

• You have a strong track record in financial consolidation and reporting, preferably within an international environment.
• You have experience in improving and setting up financial processes that align with the business strategy.
• You are familiar with month-end and year-end closings, management reporting, and preparing financial statements.
• You have experience with ERP systems; knowledge of Navision or SAP is an advantage.
• Experience with ERP implementation projects is a plus.
• You have a master’s degree in finance, economics, or accountancy, preferably supplemented with an RA qualification.
• You have at least 5 to 8 years of experience in a financial management position.
• You are highly skilled in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools.
• You communicate fluently in both Dutch and English.
• You have a hands-on, practical mindset and enjoy turning ideas into working results.
• You have a strong affinity with IT systems and data-driven analysis.
